Who are we?

Spectrum Recyclers is a locally-owned company that is dedicated to recycling as a principle and as a business. Last year we and our customers recovered 10,594,000 pounds of office paper and 20,657,000 pounds of cardboard from the waste stream, making Spectrum Recyclers Central Pennsylvania's largest recycler of these materials.

How did we achieve this distinction?

By adapting. From the day Spectrum Recyclers first opened our doors in 1989, we have paid close attention to what the paper industry wanted and to what our customers needed. We have continually improved our physical plant and collection capabilities, and modified our operations in order to meet these criteria.

As paper mill technology improved, we kept our customers advised of the types of paper that were formerly considered contaminants but were now acceptable, thereby minimizing the effort required to recycle while increasing the volume of paper recovered.
